COMPUTER LAB RULES:
- No food or drinks without permission first (except bottled water)
- Leave computer in same condition as you found it (don’t change desktop, screensaver, etc.)
- Please log off computer at end of class (shut down computer if it is the last class of the school day)
- Take all your belongings with you, including your trash
INTRODUCTION:
Activity #1 - YOUR TASK: You are to introduce yourself in 1 minute using either an audio or video recording. Choose how you want to create the visual or audio recording. Make sure the recording can be uploaded and viewed/listened to.
INSTEAD OF RECORDING YOURSELF IN YOUR NORMAL VOICE, YOU ARE GOING TO RECORD IT USING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SCENARIOS (Target Audience):
- A car salesmen
- A preacher
- Teacher (talking to pre-schoolers)
- Talking to Grandma or Grandpa
- Eulogy / Obituary
- Other? Get approval from the teacher
Requirements:
- Name (first and last)
- Age / Grade Level
- Hobbies/Interests
- Goals after high school (Career, College, etc.)
- Why are you taking this class?
- Other? Be creative! Anything else you want to add?
Activity #2 - YOUR TASK: Each of you will be given a piece of paper. You are to write a letter to yourself that will be given back to you at the end of the semester.
REQUIREMENTS:
- When finished, fold your paper in thirds and staple it shut. Be sure to write your first and last name, class name, and the class hour legibly on the outside. Turn your letter in to Mrs. Kasner.
- Full page (at least 3 paragraphs)....don’t forget to sign your letter!
REQUIRED QUESTIONS:
- A description of what you are wearing
- Identify your greatest fear for the coming school year
- Who is your best friend, boy/girlfriend, favorites singers, foods, hang-outs, etc.
- Other? Be CREATIVE and SCHOOL APPROPRIATE!
